3 Substantial Reflections
I have learned something everyday I go to my PDS but certain aspects of my experience I learned about more than others. My PDS teacher was very helpful in guiding me in my lesson plans and showing me how to control the classroom. On of the first things that I quickly learned is as a teacher you cannot sit up in front of the classroom and just lecture. The students will not reponse to you well and will not pay any attention to what you are saying. As a teacher you must involve all of the students in the class discussions and activities. The second thing that I learned was teachers must always have a back up plan. My first lesson was a little short because the computers in the school were not working so therefore I couldn't show my video clip so I had have an impromtu discussion instead. The last thing that I learned is that if the students do a worksheet or are doing any seat work you want to give them points of most of the things they do , or tell them they must turn in it at the end of the period. You have to do this because if you do not they the students will not do the exercise, they will just sit there and talk with their friends. I learned alot in the my PDS over this semester and I am excited to continue my learning and teaching experience.

Action Research Wonderings
My wondering I choose was How can I teach seniors and prepare them for college even if all of them aren't going to college. Over the past few weeks I have noticed the seniors in my high school do not seem to care to do any work. The ones that are going to college are interested in doing work but I'm sure how to help prepare them for the college workload. Learning about action research as really opened my mind when I got to my PDS it makes me question things more and I write my question down and ask my teacher at the end of class. Learning about action research as helped me ask questions and answer them more quickly.
